Privacy policy

What we collect and why

• Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message. We use these only to reply to you and to provide anything you ask for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Visitor statistics. We count visits to understand which pages are useful. This uses no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you: visits are counted anonymously per day.
• Bookings. When you book with us, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), what you booked and when, and any notes you add. We use these to manage your appointment and send your confirmation and a reminder. Deposits are paid by card through Stripe, which processes your card details under its own privacy policy; we never see your full card number. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
• Quotes and invoices. If we send you a quote or invoice, we keep your name, email address, phone number and address, and what it was for. We use these to do the work, get paid and keep the records the law requires. If you pay online, Stripe processes your card details under its own privacy policy. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you (or taking steps you asked for before one), and our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. This website is hosted by Button (a trading name of Veon Media (UK) Limited), which stores the information described above on our behalf and acts only on our instructions (as a data processor), using secure servers in the UK or EU. We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up work, and no longer than two years unless you become a customer. Bookings, orders, quotes and invoices are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting (usually six years).

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
